School Meals
Since September 2014, all Infant age children (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) have been entitled to a free school meal each day. This entitlement brings benefits to pupils and parents alike, and we encourage all of our children to take up this offer:
- Children will receive a healthy hot meal, prepared to Government nutritional standards
- Parents save money, approximately £380 per year.
- A nutritious hot meal contributes to children' performance and attainment
We are fortunate to have an on-site kitchen, where our catering team prepare fresh healthy meals for the children daily We follow the Derbyshire County Council meal plan, available at www2.myschoollunch.co.uk/derbyshire/. The latest dinner menu is available here.
If your child has specific dietary needs, please let us know and we will work closely with the catering team to ensure we can deliver a healthy alternative for your child.
